36 kids rescued from Pune madrasa after reports of sexual abuse

Thirty six kids were rescued from a madrasa in Pune's Katraj Kondhwa area after reports of sexual abuse surfaced.The kids were aged between 5 to 15 years and were rescued in a police operation.
The case came to light when two children were spotted alone by the Railway Police Force (RPF) at the Pune Railway Station.The RPF informed an NGO named 'Saathi'that works towards child rescue and rehabilitation.
The police team with the help of child right activists raided Jamia Amubhuja Darul Yatama situated in RK colony,Katraj Kondhwa.
A maulana named Rahim has been arrested so far,confirmed the Bharati Vidyapeth police station.
An FIR has been registered against him under Juvenile Justice and POCSO Act.Rahim has been accused by 2 kids who are natives of Bihar's Bhagalpur district.
Both the kids left the madrasa on July 23 and were found waiting at the railway station while they were spotted by the RPF.
Saathi took the two kids to Balkalyan Samiti'where they were counselled.
The survivors revealed that Rahim would ask them them to undress and then touch their private parts.
A police source confirmed that the madrasa has not registered its details with the cops nor with the charity commissioner.
