The Modi Government, which has completed more than four years tenure in the Centre and Amit Shah, who is working hard so that Modi Government should regain the power at the Centre might take some shocking decisions.

As per the top level sources of BJP, the Modi-Shah duo is seriously thinking over the names of daughters of Atal and Advani to contest the Lok Sabha elections which are just a few months away. After forming the government in the centre, Prime Minister Modi showed the way out to the leaders ageing more than 75 years from the cabinet. Following the same pattern, BJP President Shah also stopped giving preference to the leaders who are more than 75-years-old in the organization. According to the sources, the party has given a message to Advani that the party doesn’t wants that he should contest elections this time. It is been expected that Amit Shah will contest elections from Gandhi Nagar seat from where Advani contested elections. At the last moment, Prime Minister Modi might contest elections from Gandhi Nagar. Party is looking forward to give Pratibha, daughter of Lal Krishna Advani, ticket from any seat in Delhi in place of Advani in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Though, the party has yet not decided the seat from where Pratibha Advani will contest elections. Party might give her ticket in Delhi assembly elections against Kejriwal at the last moment. However, it will be interesting to see whether Advani and his daughter accept the proposal of the party or not.

A person close to Advani told The Nationalist that no proposal has come yet to Advani about Pratibha contesting elections.

Trusted sources say that BJP can also field Namita Vajpayee, daughter of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in the Lok Sabha elections. The party might also think over the name of Ranjan Bhattacharya, son-in-law of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Significantly, Ranjan Bhattacharya used to be OSD to the Prime Minister while Vajpayee was the Prime Minister and had a strong hold in the Prime Minister’s Office. Sources reveal that Modi and Shah do not agree on Ranjan Bhattacharya’s name. A senior leader of the party said that party can send the daughter of Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the Rajya Sabha or even field a family member in the Delhi assembly elections. Sources also informed that the adoptive family of Vajpayee has approached the party high command and expressed the willingness to take forward the political legacy of Vajpayee. As of now, Modi and Shah have yet not taken any decision on giving place to Vajpayee’s family in politics. Modi and Shah are discussing on how to adjust Vajpayee’s family into politics. BJP is also thinking about the option whether they should be given tickets in the Lok Sabha or Assembly elections and give then direct entry into active politics or place them in some commission or organization and keep them away from active politics.

The party is considering on the option where it would field the daughter of Atal ji in the West Bengal elections. However, final decision hasn’t been taken yet. A senior party leader told The Nationalist that there is a possibility that the party might field daughter of Atal ji in the Delhi assembly elections.

Modi-Shah duo, despite their unwillingness to go with the dynasty politics are forced to field the daughters of Atal and Advani, the founding members of the BJP.

A senior leader associated with the BJP organization says that this time the situation of all the candidates of BJP in Lok Sabha seats of Delhi is not good. Party President has received the report stating defeat of some of the candidates. In this case, a change in the names of the candidates is final. In such a situation, Pratibha Advani and Namita Vajpayee might be made party’s Lok Sabha candidate.

When The Nationalist contacted Pratibha Advani, she refused to make any comments.
