New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit 10 states over five days starting February 8, travelling daily and also staying a night away from Delhi in Assam, signaling his full campaign mode for the Lok Sabha elections.

This follows his visit to all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday and a trip to West Bengal last Saturday.

The prime minister will be in three states on February 8, kicking off with a rally in Raigarh’s Kondatarai in Chhattisgarh. This will also be his first visit to the state after his party lost badly in the assembly elections there.

From there, the PM has plans to proceed to West Bengal for a rally in Jalgaipuri. West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has been at loggerheads with the Centre over the CBI’s action against the Kolkata police commissioner and has been blocking permission to BJP leaders like Yogi Adityanath and Shivraj Singh Chouhan to hold rallies in the state.

Modi was in West Bengal last week too; he is scheduled to proceed to Assam from there for a night stay. On February 9, the PM will be unveiling a number of projects in Guwahati, including laying the foundation stone of a bridge over the Brahmaputra, an AIIMS and inaugurating a new gas pipeline that will connect the northeast with the national gas grid.

The next day, Prime Minister Modi will be f lying out first to Tamil Nadu’s Tirupur for a rally and then to Hubballi in Karnataka for a public rally.

The same day, he will also go to Andhra Pradesh for a rally in Guntur.

On February 11, Modi will be going to Mathura in UP for a programme of Akshaypat ra Foundation, an institution which serves mid-day meal to about 18 lakh children in the country.

PM Modi is expected to serve midday meals to some children too at this event, which will also be attended by CM Yogi Adityanath and Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar.

On February 12, the prime minister will be in Haryana for the Swachh Shakti programme in Kurukshetra which will be attended by women sarpanches from across the country.
